In addition to renovation glazing, there is another way to limit energy loss in your homes with wooden windows: this is overglazing.
This consists of applying new glazing to the original glazing, leaving an air space between the two. This limits the exchange of temperature between the interior and exterior of the house.
Overglazing increases energy performance while maintaining the original window frame, the principle being to fit the additional glazing to the basic window by means of hinges. This makes it easy to open and close your skylight, especially for cleaning.
